These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to you being part of the “Coaching for Product Leaders” course offered by The Product Refinery (the Program). By paying for and enrolling in the Program, you agree to comply with these Terms.
If you do not or cannot comply with these terms, we reserve the right to remove you from the Program.
The Agreement may be modified from time to time. This page displays the last revision date.
1. Information about us
The Program is operated by The Product Refinery (we or our or us). We are a limited company registered in England and Wales (Reg. No. 11115287). Our registered office is located at 13 Hawley Crescent, London, NW1 8NP.
2. Payment
We accept payment via online payment only. As a participant, you are personally responsible for the cost of the program (local VAT may apply). The Product Refinery uses the 3rd party service Stripe for secure online credit card payments. As a third party service, Stripe ensures the security of your payment. Please refer to Stripe to read more about the services specifically.
3. Participant Cancellation & Course Deferral
If you are unable to attend, your enrollment can be transferred to another person at no extra cost. You can request transferring your enrollment up to 4 days before the program begins. After that, no transfer can be offered.
If you need to defer your enrollment to a later date or cancel your participation, the following terms apply:
Until 21 days before the program starts – You may defer to a future date at no cost or cancel and you will be refunded in full.
Between 4-20 days before the course starts - you may defer or cancel for a fee of £300. If the program is full, we will offer your seat to the waiting list. If we are then able to re-fill your seat, we will refund you in full.
Within 3 days of the course starting or after the course has started - No rescheduling or cancellation permitted. (Exception is made for serious illness proved by a doctor’s letter. In this case the participant can choose to defer to a future date or cancel for a fee of £300).
Any requests for enrollment transfer, program deferral, or cancellation must be made in writing to us by email to hello@theproductrefinery.com. We do not accept verbal requests.
4. Cancellation by The Product Refinery
The Program is intended for Product Management leaders with at least 1 direct report at the time of enrollment. By enrolling in the program, you verify that you satisfy these requirements. We reserve the right to cancel your enrollment in the program at any time if we find you have misrepresented your situation. In this case, refunds will be offered per our normal cancellation policies outlined above.
We reserve the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment up to 10 days before the program starts. You will be notified by email if this is the case, at which time you may defer to a future date at no extra cost or request a full refund.
5. . Personal information
If we process any personal information about you, we will do so in accordance with our privacy policy .
4. Intellectual Property Rights
We are the owner, or authorised licensee, of all intellectual property rights in the Program and the content in them. Such works are protected by copyright law and treaties throughout the world. All such rights are reserved.
Content made available through the Program may be viewed, listened to, downloaded, and printed for your own personal, non-commercial use only. It may not be shared with anyone else or reproduced in any way.
5. Access to the Program
While we aim to ensure the program website and 3rd party services used to deliver our program (Google Cloud, Zoom, and Calendly) are available 24 hours a day, and that program coaches and session facilitators deliver the services promised, we will not be liable for circumstances outside our control that prevent you from accessing the program or participating in a live session. We will, however, make reasonable efforts to offer you replacement services, where possible.
6. Code of Conduct
You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from the program website any material: (a) that is threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, seditious, offensive, pornographic, abusive, liable to incite racial hatred, discriminatory, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, in breach of privacy or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience; (b) for which you have not obtained all necessary licences and/or approvals; (c) which constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise be contrary to the law of or infringe the rights of any third party, in the UK or any other country in the world; or (d) which is technically harmful (including, without limitation, computer viruses, logic bombs, Trojan horses, worms, harmful components, corrupted data or other malicious software or harmful data). You may not misuse the program website(including, without limitation, by hacking). We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity or locate anyone posting any material in breach of points a, b or c above.
5. Our Liability
The content available to you as part of our Program is provided for your information purposes only and is guidance and suggestion rather than advice.
To the extent permitted by law, we expressly exclude:
all conditions, warranties, and all other term which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law, or the law of equity;
any liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with the Program and/or in connection with the Program, including (without limitation) any liability for loss of: income or revenue; business; profit; contracts; anticipated savings; data; goodwill; management or office time; and for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable.
This provision does not affect our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, liability for misrepresentation or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Applicable Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
